Preventing the next pandemic

A new report from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the International Livestock Research Institute titled 'Preventing the next pandemic: Zoonotic diseases and how to break the chain of transmission' warns that governments must take active measures to prevent other zoonotic diseases from crossing into the human population or further outbreaks will continue to emerge. It stresses the urgent need to adopt integrated global human, animal and environmental health expertise and policy.
