The annual Forbes Global CEO Conference will be held in Singapore from 15 to 16 October 2019. This conference which is in it’s 19th year, is where 400 global CEOs, tycoons, entrepreneurs, investors and thought leaders discuss and debate key issues of global concern and to build new partnerships.
This year, under the theme ‘Transcending the Turbulence’, the conference will examine how CEOs, companies and countries are navigating challenges and opportunities arising from the uncertainty in the global economy. CEOs and entrepreneurs can’t merely adapt, they are plotting an entirely new course, finding new pathways to success and will share the skills and vision needed to get there.
One of the highlights of the Forbes Global CEO Conference is a one-on-one dialogue between Jack Ma, executive chairman of Alibaba Group, and Steve Forbes, chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media. Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of Singapore, will also engage with Steve Forbes in a Meeting of Minds dialogue at the conference.
Furthermore, 50 speakers will gather from around the world to share insights on topics such as the world economy, technology, innovation, disruption and investment opportunities in sectors such as finance, real estate and healthcare. Panels will discuss best strategies for leadership, entrepreneurship, family business succession, leadership and philanthropy.
William Adamopoulos, CEO of Asia Forbes Media, says they are delighted to bring the Forbes Global CEO Conference back to Singapore as it continues to attract delegates who are among the world’s most economically powerful and influential business people. He says it is where their first global CEO conference was held in 2001, so it is fitting to bring it back as the nation celebrates its bicentennial this year.
“The Forbes Global CEO Conference has a strong track record of convening major business owners and leading CEOs from Asia and around the world. We are delighted this year’s edition will be held in Singapore as it will provide us with the opportunity to reaffirm our partnership with existing investors, as well as forge new relationships with potential ones,” says Dr Beh Swan Gin, chairman of the Singapore Economic Development Board.
